Bought one of these the other day- excuse the poorly set scene (on packed train). Sheer genius- the ability to enjoy wine on the train direct from the glass. Such a clever idea- I hope the person who came up with it makes lots of money !
I feel embarrassed due to a purchase I made earlier at the newsagents. No, my hands didn’t wander to the top shelf of the magazine counter and purchase something. Actually I bought a copy of the Cambridge News ! The front cover story caught my attention and I needed a little light reading this morning […]
Ask any person what they imagine a garden in Oxford or Cambridge to be like and they’ll probably picture a well maintained lawn, a few choice shrubs. However, the reality is somewhat different in Cambridge as I’ve blogged before. However, I found recently that it isn’t limited to Cambridge- Oxford has the same problem. In […]
Came across this on BBC News: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-10891733 So wait a minute- it was the request for a birthday cake with the name ‘Adolf’ that tipped them off? Clearly the 30 foot swastikas outside their house didn’t do it ? Not the school role call? I just imagine it: John Hill – present Miss. Adolf Hitler […]
On the train today. First Capital Connect trains are really so poor. Things are so crammed in and it’s not helped that Cambridgeshire people don’t know how to behave themselves in any social situation- even knowing how to properly embark and disembark a train. It feels like something you’d sketch in a childrens toy town […]
In Waitrose today. After asking the guy at the butchers counter about steak on the bone (idiot showed me something about 6cms thick- I laughed and said “I can hardly grill that”. Then my eye caught these things: Totally horrid looking ! I won’t reduce the tone by saying what they reminded me of. However, […]
For those wondering the title, it means I’m only showing you part of my breakfast. Actually, I had 2 macarons – I just thought about taking the photograph once I’d eaten one of them ! Although I was expecting rain in London, when I sat down at Burlington Arcade it started to clear up. There’s […]
I’ve come to the conclusion that Cambridge is really stressful to live in. People say that big cities create stress- actually I think it’s the opposite. The smaller the place, the more packed people are into it, the more difficult it is to get things done. This morning I woke up in a sticking mood. […]
Taken earlier tonight. For the record, I don’t have a really bad shaky hand ! – I guess we are all just used to image stabilisation and the iPhone hasn’t quite got there yet ! The Run And another one, featuring the chase and everyone a bit more excited…. The Final Chase
I live 10mins away form Newmarket and tonight was the first time I’ve been to the racing. Over the past weeks I’ve been watching The Morning Line in more detail and I’m thinking I might just develop an interest. A bit worrying on the gambling front given my addictive personality ! A couple of pics […]
