Needed to post some things back to the UK. Of course my expectations of Post Offices in Asia are significantly higher after experiences described a couple of years back here. However, I was a little concerned when I arrived at what was supposed to be the ‘main’ Post Office:

Of course my concerns were unfounded, after all I wasn’t in Europe. The guy at the post office wasn’t some fat middle aged man with grey trousers and glasses just waiting for the pension to kick in, nor was he some 50 year old miserable HRT grey haired spinster with a hair-do from the 70’s. No, he was enthusiastic, grabbing the goods and making up a box (no charge). Then helping fill out the forms etc. Overall an excellent experience, for which I gave him a healthy tip !
