As I write this I’ve just passed Sweden, that’s my usual bearing point for long distance trips from the east when I realise I am nearly home.

The flight has been hellish due to children. The dental researchers who identified that putting dummies in kids mouths wasn’t good should be forced to live in prisons where every few hours a new batch of screaming children come in and just scream at them. Of course that wouldn’t work in Japan, China or Korea where for some strange reason (I think good parenting) the kids never seem to scream.

I feel like going up to the two particular families in question and thanking them for ruining the last part of my holiday.
