Japanese models…
(that’s of the railway variety before anyone gets excited).
When I was heading for Narita the other week I spotted a small model of the train on the cart the girl was pulling through the train selling tea and coffee etc. I realised I had to have one as a memento. I hope that doesn’t class me as a trainspotter in any way, but I found it typically Japanese that one could buy a model of the train on the train (well at least that’s the excuse).
Note the big emphasis in E259 – the model of the train. The model / type of the train seems to take far more emphasis in Japan than other countries as can be seen on the notice board (far left Nozomi and Kodama are train types):
