Just reading an article on the BBC news website. Snakes found near commonwealth athletes village. Now, that would be a surprise if the village was (say) in Wiltshire. But the fact that it is in India, where snakes are commonplace surely shouldn’t come as a surprise. The BBC never used to be full of such ‘duff’ news, but nowadays it seems to be commonplace !
