Glasgow Food

0

Whilst Cambridge could be classed as one of the culinary deserts of Europe, Glasgow could be classed as one of the culinary capitals. Such a variation of foods due to the ethnic diversity. In particular, amazing curry and spiced food. Of course everything is fried, but that just makes it even more yummy..

Indian (well actually Pakistani)

A popular dish is pakora. Chicken or vegetables in a spicy batter. Totally amazing taste:

Haggis

I had the most amazing haggis – easily the best I’ve had in my life. Served with potatoes and turnip. Apologies for the poor quality pic as had to take quickly:

Fish and Chips

None of the English nonsense fish and chips here. Most neighbourhoods have fish and chip shops run my Italian families. The decor is similar to what you’d expect to see in a 60’s/70’s cafe in Italy – lots of wood and formica:

The main course:

Washed down with Irn Bru:

With a side of bread and butter:

For my health it’s really good I don’t live in Glasgow any more !
