I hate poor timekeeping and the Bay area from experience is the worst place for it. Meetings rarely start on time, people wander in late etc. It really does bug me. When I used to give lectures at University I used to lock the door and prevent people from turning up late, in addition giving people reduced marks for submitting work late etc.

Take this morning. Shuttle from Hotel to Office booked for 7AM. I’m in the lobby at 6:58, when does the shuttle arrive ? 7:13. Yep, that’s 15mins of my life wasted and of course me being late for the 7:15 meeting at the office (that I already had budgeted 3x the time to get there).
