So I watched the keynote live yesterday on the iPad after returning from Oxford. I had already indicated to people that I generally don’t buy first generation products that are new and novel as usually there are teething problems. That said, I did buy one of the first MacBook Air’s (happened to be in San Francisco at the time they first came out) and I’m pretty happy with it.

I’ve decided I’m going to buy one. And of course I’ll probably buy the top model (64GB with 3G), although 3G will be based on their being a sensible tariff to buy data on and actually decent 3G speed.

As usual, Apple have come up with a winner here and I think the price point is spot on. I’m guessing it will sell very well. The eBooks feature is a welcome addition- I’ve been longing for Apple to bring the simplicity of eBooks to the mass market.
