I often buy design magazines like Wallpaper really just to browse through- plenty of pictures to look at ! However, sometimes I find something that looks great or is a really novel way to solve a problem. In this case, it’s a folding mains plug. For those not familiar, the British Mains Plug is a horrid thing- technically it’s a great Engineering solution (that includes a fuse and is very easy to wire). However, it’s absolutely massive ! It particularly is bad when you are travelling. I realised just how much a problem this was when I moved over to using portable Macs- a really well thought out mains adapter but throw in a British mains plug and it nearly doubles in size:
